The Express5800/A1160 is a highly flexible business solution and is able to adapt itself in real-time to the Client environment, in order to maintain the availability of applications when faced with a rise in data. The NEC solution also provides an unmatched level of reliability and performance.

The Express5800/A1160 solution supports 4 Intel® Xeon® series 7400 six core processors with a remarkable extension capacity of 16 processors/ 96 cores. Through using the most recent Intel® processor- with 6 cores (max) and up to 16MB of level 3 cache memory per chip- they guarantee rapid treatment of exceptional applications.

The processors also confer power and reinforced reliability for the consolidation of applications on a large scale.

Through the Express5800/A1160 solution, NEC delivers an optimal solution which reacts in a dynamic manner towards changes within the Client environment, all whilst considerably reducing complexity, costs and operational risks.

Remarkable performance and scalability

Intel Xeon 7400 Processors with up to 6 cores. The High Speed Interconnextion (HSI) technology allows for transparency from a 4U to several chassis, in order to support up to 16 processors/ 96 cores.
Each chassis is equipped with a slot for 32 memory modules. The maximum configuration is 256 memory modules with a capacity of 1TB.
Each chassis is equipped with 6 PCI Express (x8) slots, allowing the installation of 24 hotswap external interfaces with a capacity of up to 4 chassis.

Unprecedented flexibility

The Express5800/A1160 solution adapts itself to the client environment. Scaling the architecture of a chassis to 2, 3 or 4 chassis is possible in real-time with the addition of critical components.

The Express5800/A1160 also allows the deployment and consolidation of new and multiple applications in real time, and within the same architecture.

In addition to these characteristics, separate OS support in multiple partitions, provided by the partitioning confers good flexibility.

Guaranteed availability and reliability

Reliability and availability are guaranteed through an entirely redundant configuration of components such as; memory, hard disks, electrical power supply and error detection methods
Advanced fault tolerance and telesurveillance thanks to EXPRESSCOPE Engine SP. This responds to surveillance problems, remote access, remote KVM and media, in order to minimize assistance and administration costs.
Reduction in the duration of system downtime for maintenance: possibility to replace the pieces through the front of the back of the rack without the requirement of specialist tools; replacement of the hotswap memory modules, hard disks, power modules and E/S cards.

With the Express5800/A1160 solution, NEC provides a PREMIUM service contract: a personalized service offer for a 24hr proactive level of service. Through the PREMIUM service, NEC brings an irreproachable support solution and a warranty of up to 5 years (commitment to repair in under 6hrs), remote monitoring, direct access to level 2 support, 24/7 remote alerts

Other services such as training and installation complete the Enterprise UltraCare offer in order to optimize solution deployment and to bring forth all expertise and necessary resources.
